Area for Rest and Prayer

Dear Traveler of Life,

Welcome to this area dedicated for rest and prayer.
Enjoy the beauty of Nature offered here along this
historic Farmington Canal. An effort was put forth
to establish this area as a sanctuary with the intention
of offering people a refuge to rest their mind, body and
soul. Together with the spirits of the laborers, many who
were Irish immigrants who toiled along this route over
175 years ago and the beauty of the Nature present,
you are not alone.

If you have the desire to share your thoughts or prayers
with your friends along this trail and with the "Canal Spirit"
- then please do so. Others have remarked that a special
spirit of support and guidance have helped them in their
lives when seeking peace and solace while they used this
area for a time of reflection.

As other travelers along this trail read your words of hope,
they will pray along with you to help your energies in your
quest for peace and comfort. If your words are for
encouragement, other readers will be comforted and
assured that life has it's peaks and valleys - so share
your life's stories to help each other in this remarkable
journey of life together.

The Spirit of the Canal combines the toils and beauty
of life together for us to share and enjoy.

"Cliff the Caretaker"
